Belgian Heritage Center 2021 Hours

The Belgian Heritage Center is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 4 through October.  Visits can also be arranged by appointment by emailing tourinfo@belgianheritagecenter.org or by calling 920-493-5969 at least three days in advance.  We look forward to your visit!

Great Fire 150th Remembrance

Great Fire 150th Remembrance

Starts: October 8, 2021 at 9:00 am
Ends: October 10, 2021 at 3:00 pm

This year marks 150 years since the Great Fire (Peshtigo Fire) on October 8, 1871, caused widespread death and destruction in the Belgian settlement.  The remembrance will include a candlelight vigil on Friday night.  Barb Englebert Chisholm will present her popular portrayal of a Belgian settler's experience on Saturday and Sunday. BHC will premiere a new video about the impact of the fire on the Belgian settlements.  Saturday, October 9 will also feature the BUG Fire Department, author Virginia Feld Johnson and a presentation by Captain David Siegel of the Green Bay Metro Fire Department.  See the attached PDF for more details.

Hunter's Raffle

Raffle tickets are now available for this year's Hunters Raffle at BHC, Steel Wheel Saloon (Namur), Rio Creek Feed Mill, The Settlement (Green Bay), Susie's Place (Lincoln), Rocky Ridge Shooter’s Supply (Oconto Falls). Tickets are also available through BHC volunteers.  See the PDF for more information about prizes and the raffle event. Tickets are $10 each, three for $20 and 20 for $100. Raffle will be at 2:30. You do not need to be present to win.

Peninsula Belgian-American Club Speaker Series

SISTERS OF ST. FRANCIS OF THE HOLY CROSS A video of the Community’s history of 90 years of service at the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help as well as many other places and ministries. Sister Nancy Langlois, will be the presenter. Open to PBAC members and the public.

The Belgian Heritage Center is a perfect church-like setting for weddings and wakes/funerals. The Belgian Heritage Center is also available for rental for private events such as meetings, conferences and family reunions.
